Case received and pending - H1B

Hello,

When I check my H1B status online, I see status "Case received and pending".It hasn't been changed from one month.My H1B filed in VERMONT SERVICE CENTER.Any problem it indicates ?

How much time it will take to update ? Can you please tell me ?

I am also in same boat, i got my receipt no on may 2 but still now no updates, i even dont know whether the receipt is mine or not. I am not able to see the name. it just showing Case received and Pending

Mine is also same case. Reciept date is 3rd May and its as Vermont. Still says "Case recieved and pending". My employer has told me earlier that it takes somewhere around 10 weeks so we need to wait for few more weeks.

By the way in Visa tracket section I found that one guy's H1 reciept dated 25 April is Approved on 7th June at Vermont center. So I think it should take 2 to 3 weeks for us.

How much time it should take ? because already received on 30th April.

You guys can check the status of your case through the uscis.gov website. There is a link that says check case status.

You can check the status of your case using your receipt number. Also over there is approximate processing times for respective centers. Based on where your petition was sent...you can estimate how much more time before a decision is made on your case.

U have said your H1B receipt date is 3 rd May .How is possible when last date for acceptence is 30 th april for masters quota.
Do u have a receipt number and date .

Mine is not under master's quota, its under BE quota regular processing. I have the reciept no and it shows following status on USCIS site:

I wanted to transfer my H1-b to company B, I applied for normal transfer of H1-b but i got a query this was regarding company financials and stuff, for which company B responded. The case still pending with INS. At this point can I transfer my H1-B to company C? Is this recommended? Please advice.

This year due to heavy number number of applications it is taking long time to process the applications , If you have WAC or in your case EAC number you can call toll free number to check against whose name application is filed .

OR you can also ask your employer to send copy or your EAC number which should I797 , Notice of action document which has the EAC number
