H1B Visa Medical?????????

Hi Friends,
I have got my H1B approved for this years (2007), I will get the paper work from my US Company in october and then I will go to US consolate (Delhi) for visa stamping, I want to know where in this all process Medical Checkup comes in? or as it is a non-residential visa so medical checkup is not required/don't come.

Actually I have some problem in my eyesight, I am an IT professional with more then two years of experience. I wear contact lenases, but one of my eye is not active at all because of emblopia (by birth) it dosen't gave me any probelm at all and i work on my computer from say 12 hours even. Please guide me. I am really tense.

Well, I dont think a medical checkup comes up in the picture, but I think american laws do not permit the company from descriminating againt disablitity, But the company may kick you out if your disablity prevents you from working in the project or team.
