View Full Version : Spouse travelling in earlier employers H4 visa

Hi,
I am rightnow in US with my H1 transfered to a new employer. My wife
in India still have my old employers H4 visa in her passport. Question is
whether she can travel in her valid H4 visa , arrive US and then transfer the visa to my new employer?. Kindly clarify

she can travel and doesn't need to be transferred to new company at all.

Sounds goods for me. But isn't that since my status has changed to a new employer, my wife too need to get changed. Not transferring visa to new employer, would it cause any later issues while GC processing?

her h4 is not a employer dependent visa.
