Hi,

Any significant difference in the benefits/coverage between the Traveler's Liberty insurance from SRI and the ones that can be bought in India like Bajaj-Allianz, TATA-AIG or the New India Assurance?
Any experiences with the Traveler's Liberty insurance anyone would like to share? Thanks much in advance!

There are always differences between products sold in the USA vs. India, in most cases the Plans sold in India cost slightly less. Coverage from India often has limitations, and lower limits. Remember many of the plans sold in India are underwritten by USA Insurance Carriers (e.g.: AIG), However they may be administered by Indian or UK companies. The administration plays a big role in how fast the claim will be paid. Most USA facilities, hospitals, and physicians will be more comfortable in dealing with a USA based administrator, and may require you to pay in advance for plans bought in India.
It may interest you to know that SRI is the administrator of “Tata’s self insured medical insurance plan “ ;)
