H1B Transfer

Hi,
I've an H1 for Company A. I transferred by H1 to company B but still working for A. Now I want to join Company C.

a) Can I join the company C on the same day the H1 docs are Fed-exed to USCIS
OR
b) Should I wait until they reach USCIS and start working on that day
OR
c) Should I wait until I get a Receipt Number

c is the recommend way

As per USCIS, (b) is fine but as Simran said it's already recommended to wait till you receive the receipt.
