H1 still at AAP, Please help

Hi Murali / Simran /All,
I attended H1 interview @ Delhi consulate 2 months back, they had taken my passport, I didn't get responce from them still. I called DOS, they said that this case is still with consulate and they didn't received it.
I called consulate, they said it is in AAP at clearance department, and he said it will take 6 to 8 weeks.

Can you please let me know what they investigate for security clearance?
How much time it might take usually for this kind of case?

This is a very common situation in AAP.
There is very little you can do, just keep doing the followup by mail/fax in every 15 days.

Hi Murali & All,
My case is still with consulate from 2 months under security clearance, they didnot forwarded to DOS. I saw in forumns that all Security clearance cases will go to DOS, In my case it didnt happened.

Is it true that all cases should go to DOS?
Where else might be the case? any contacts?
