H1B transfer receipt.

Hello,

My attorney sent my H1B transfer papers and my wifes H4 status change papers to California Center on 30th April 2007 and would have reached on May 1st. I still not got my reciept. Could any one let me know how many days it is taking to get the reciept now adays? Help in this regard is appreciated.

on an avg 14 days, but it can take 3 weeks also.

Hi,

I did my transfer at California Center. It tooks 15 to 20 days to get my receipt and 3 months and odd to get my I797 Petition Paper.

I did my H1b transfer on 10th April, still no receipt number. Its been 5 weeks............I dont know what that means..

Sent for H1 transfer on April 13th (regular processing) - still no H1-B receipt.!! This is for the Vermont center.:(

may we start working for the new employer even though we haven't received the receipt from the USCIS yet? Another confirmation would be the receipt from FedEx or UPS and I want to know if it is safe to do so?
