:(
My parents have been very very unlucky as far as the visa goes. My sister is in US. 4 yrs back we applied for my mom, my sis was on studentsvisa, we applied for her graduation --- refused; 2 nd time again refused.
Now she is married and has H1...she is expecting a baby, as per path2usa we did not give that as a reason but tourism as a reason --- refused on 10th Apr 07. Again applied --- refused on 9th MAY.
The ties shown were as follows:
1. One Elder daughter (myself) stays in India
2. My father is working here
3. The property was also shown
My parents really want to go and see her, they are very upset. The reason given is american law does not permit and the 214(b) was given.
We are helpless...what to do?? PLEASE HELP.....

Train them properly by keeping interviews by yourself again and again.
We had the same issue before, we solved the same by proper training.
prepare the answers beautifully where the VO officer should think that the person is non-immigrant.
For ex:
have you been USA before?.
ans:No, I didnot get a chance to visit that beautiful country yet.Instead of simply telling No.
Better luck next time

Hi,
In view of the past rejections, one suggestion would be to specify the period of stay to be 2 months or 3 months. A short period of stay, along with the all the required documents and good interview preparation may convince the VO your intent of returning back.
GoodLuck!!!

Also, ask your parents to stress the point that you are in India, they can carry some family pictures of you and your kids if you have any. It is not a typical case of rejection, since both you and your sister are not in the US. So, it is a matter of your parents presenting all the details properly to the VO. I prepared a questionniare of about 70 possible interview questions after going through this site thoroughly for parents. If you need those questions please feel free to contact me.
