Hi All,
I have been reading everyone's experiences. Manishkmr's experiences seems to be closer to what I have been experiencing.
My In-laws have tried for visitor visa for 5 times jointly and once we tried MIL alone. But all went in vain. They have been rejected everytime at the Mumbai consulate on 214(b) category.
My husband is the only son. They have 2 daughters married and leaving in Mumbai. other than that there is no property, bank balance. My FIL has been retired since long. He is 62yrs now and MIL is 57yrs.
They have been so frustrated with all this that they don't feel like applying again. My husband has also lost faith. We both are on H1 Visa. He has applied for Green card which is in backlog, so we don't know when will that happen.
I have convinced them to go one more time. Their interview is on 21st May.
I have prepared their document according to the suggetions given by everyone.
Invitation letter, letter to the consulate, I-134, Bank account verification, payslip, Tax papers. Other than that I have nothing else to send. I did tell them to carry Ration card.
Any suggestions will be a great help.
Please reply soon.
Thanks
Pinky
