I just took an appointment through VFS for my parents,in my mother's passport the surname is blank, but while filling DS 156 online for my mother towards the end of the document there were thre sections mentioing "Passport No","First and last name" (as in passport), "Surname" (as in passport), and they were all mandatory fields to be filled in. Since my mother's pp does not have any surname, i went ahead to fill as "Rao", as my mother's name is "Krishna Rao Shakunthala" which is given name in passport, while actually my mothers name is "Shakunthala Krishna Rao"( first and last name seems to be interchanged in passport). Now i am mainly worried that i have entered surname as "Rao" in DS 156 while passport shows blank, so please advice me as how to correct this, or what action i need to take, is there a way i can edit this information.Also the interview letter now shows as "Krishna rao Shakunthala Rao" which must have been only "Krishna Rao Shakunthala"

Pleas suggest me, anyone has any ideas are most welcome, as i am worried about this. I was mainly focussed on filling the form as quick as possible, as i was concerned i might miss the slots, as i had been waiting for long for regional language apptmt. Please help me friends.
