visitor visa DS156 filling doubt

Hi,
In my mom's passport she has signed her name in Tamil.
And now we are planning to bring her to US .
In DS156 form ,Q.No.41..in the place of applicant's signature..does she have to sign her name as in passport or she can sign her name in English?
Also ....in all the affidavits--i have the same doubt.to sign either in tamil(as in passport) or english?
Can anyone please help?

Sign is "sign" or symbol. It can be any thing unique , there is nothing called "English" Or XYZ sign.
So sign as per her sign in Passport.

My mother signed in Tamil for all her visa applications in US consulate, chennai and I-94, customs forms at POE.
