The site has been of tremendous help. Thanks everyone. My parents are applying for a visitor visa. Both me and my only brother did our MS from US and are working here. I have heard that this might be an issue, since there are no strong ties to prove in India (my grandparents are no more). It would be great if someone can suggest what can be done, or point me to such stories posted before by anyone.

Thanks

Thanks. But their Visa was rejected.
VO asked how many kids do you have. He saw that my dad was close to retirement, and then said that why will you come back. You will stay there since both your kids are there. My parents replied that they have property here, have to rejoin their jobs etc, but the VO didnt seem impressed and rejected.

What can be done? The situation isnt going to change in my parents case (in 3 months my dad will retire), I dont have grandparents, no business in India and both kids are working here. Suggestions would be very helpful (anyone who has gone through this). Also, what is a good time to reapply.

Thanks
