Applying H1 Extn and Transfer together

HI,
My H1 Visa and I-94 is expring on 15 June 07 .I have aleadry applied for Visa extn and i-94(for me and my wife Both) through my emloyer.Now I want to change my Job. Can I apply for transfer and I-94 extn through my new Employer or will it be safe to chnage the Job once extn process is complete. Pls advise...

I would recommed to discuss this with the new company's HR/Legal advisor he/she can guide you better with any legal information, just to avoide any complication if any.

Thanks for clarification ,now I have different question but releted to transfer only.My H1-B visa was valid till july 2007 but I got my petition extended as well as the I-94 till Dec 2009 from my current employer. I have found another job and new Employer has already applied for my H1 Transfer but I am not sure whether they have applied for I-94 extn also and I am about to join them in couple of days.

I want to know ,will the current I-94 will be valid with new employer's petition or the new employer need to apply for I-94 extn also . Please clarify asap.
