Is Birth Certificate Required at Mumbai Consulate

Hi,

My parents will attend their visa interview at Mumbai consulate.Some websites say that Original Birth Certificate is a requirement. I don't have one.Please Clarify.

YES.
Most of the cases they ask for the original Birth certifcate of the sponsor in blood relation. i.e if you are sponsoring your parents Your birth certificate.
if you are sponsoring your in-laws your spouse's birth certificate.

I just saw your query here for presenting orignal birth certificate for visitor visa.
I have the same problem . Can u please let me know if you could do without the birth certificate or u presented some other alternatives.

First try to get the Birth certifcate if dont have it, you may need that even for other purpose in future.
An affidavit should do.
