Hi all,

I am on F1 Visa in US, my brother aged 19 is in UK as a student too. He wanted to come and visit me for a week.

The best way I thought he should come here is if my husband (who is on H1) invites him officially.
(Invitation from Brother-in-Law, type of a letter)

---- Do u think this is a good idea??

Bcz I dont hv funds to show as I am student and not allowed to work.

----- Will we need to show a marriage certificate ?
He has still some courses to complete in UK and will be getting a letter from university stating that too. I really don't want anything going wrong, I will be meeting him after real long years:(

Any help will be a PLUS for us. Pls Help.

Thanks in advance

Yes your husband can be the sponsor.
Getting a letter from his School/College will help.

Hi Murali & others,

Thanks for your time.:)

I have another question... my brother has a line in his passport saying he is not supposed to work in UK, as he is a student there, but he did work and got some salary transferred to his bank a/c, now the list of documents specifically ask him to get his Bank Statements (which reflects his working there illegaly.

He doesn't have any other account and he has already got a date of interview for May, so no time to make another bank account now.
What would you suggest us ??
