Hi all,

I am on L1 visa, and we got a kid recently. I want to take him back to India (as we have to go anyway) and no plans to bring him back for atleast 4 years. I heard that we get indian visa only for 6 months, and extension is very difficult. I also heard about PIO card, and dual citizenship. Can someone guide me, which is the best option for me ? Basically I won't be settling in USA, so all my trips would short-term (max. 1 year). I could have gone for Indian citizenship to my kid, my frinds are suggesting to retain the USA citizenship, which might helpful for the kid in future. I hope you got my problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

the better option is to apply for PIO card.
