expiration date for B2 visa

My parents and sister are visiting me in August 2007, I have 2 questions regarding that
1. They have got a visa appointment in April, if they get single entry is it too early? what is the usual expiration date?
2. Can they all use the same docs like bank statements, pay stubs(My sis and my parents have got different appt. time)?

1. Depends on thier inetrview, the visa length can be X months or X yrs.
2. Send 2 separte set of documents if they have interview on same day but different time. IF they have different days then you can sue same document except a few like separate I134, letter to consulate.
