I just Stamped my H1 and H4 for my family, I am little bit confused here because i am working in india in a good company and my salary is around 7 lacks P.A. My kid is 6 years old and studying in 2nd Standard in india. Now i want to go to US with my family.

Does anybody knows the education system in US? Is it a right move with my family because my kid is already in school, Is there any effect on his education? Can he continue his education from 3rd std in US?

Please help me on this matter. I am stuck here with my kid education.

Thanks,
Leo

Yes, your kid can continue his education here in the US. Some points to remember is:

Education is free in public schools. That does not mean any school will do. You need to do some research to find the best public schools in the area into which you will be moving. That translates to higher rents, since housing around the good schools are little more expensive than others. School ratings and other information will be available from the Department of Education of that particular State, and you should be able to find it online.
My nieces moved here when they were in 7th and 5th grade, and are doing very well.
School year starts in Aug/sept (depending on where you will be moving), and you may want to move way before that so you get accustomed to the place and settled well before school starts.
The other option is Private School, which charges a fee, which is quite high. Majority of the kids in this country go to public schools, unlike in India where most of them are in private schools.
Hope this helps...
