H1 transfer:Important

HI Friends,

I had my H1 stamping done when i was in my old company and I have the XEROX copy of that notice of action. Now my present company is processing my B1 visa and I will be travelling to US soon. I got to know that now i can transfer my H1, even though the notice of action that i hold is a xerox copy and irrespective of the fact that it was (notice of action) from my old company. How far is that true? Also tell me if there are any alternatives to transfer my H1.

if u never been on H1 to US then transfer cannot be done.
