Extension of I-94 date

I am currenty in the US on a 10-year multile entry visa and the visa is valid till 2014. Upon entry this time, my I-94 was stamped till August 15,2004 (3 months from the date of entry) for stay in the US.

My employer is asking me whether I can extend the stay here for another three months after August.

Can you please tell me whether it is possible under B1/B2 and what is the maximum extension possible.
