Address for the delivery of passport

Hi,

I am planning to give my chennai address for my sister web appointment. My sister stays near to Madurai and according to TTS it will take more days to reach there. As soon as the interview over my sister planning to go to Madurai. Will the courier person give the passport and documents to anyone at home or will the concern person has to sign and get the documents.

My mother had an appointment on Jul 7th at Chennai and My father on Aug 10th at Chennai. I just wanted to prepone my father's and have both attend on the same day. Is it possible?? If so, please respond me the details.
