well honestly .. i would like to keep a name which is simple and easy to pronounce. If you are not too much into astrology and stuff and the strating word... then my advice to you is keep a simple name.
Its all the more important to have a simple name incase you plan to stay here...i would hate to see my baby's name get distorted and messed up by americans or non indians.
I would definetly ask my american boss to pronounce the names before deciding on one.. for my baby.People may think differently but this is my personal opinion coz even the simplest of indian name gets pronounced wrong.
Happy hunting.. i am sure you'll settle on a god one... :)

Indian names usually have a meaning. It's believed that a person's name will have an influence on his or her personality. If you believe a person's characteristics is not affected by his or her name and its meaning, you can try naming your baby anything that catches your fancy. It's true that Americans have difficulty in pronouncing Indian names properly and end up insulting the name. For e.g. my friend's son was named Rakshith. When he joined school, his classmates started calling him "Rack Shit or Rag Shit" and asked him why is he a rack/rag of shit? His mother changed the name to Rakshan later. There is no point in naming your kid Krishna when everybody ends up calling Chris. Ensure that what is being named is what is being called out.
