I have done my masters in India ,now iam in US with H4 visa.I want to join Ph.D. programme here & want to do it with financial independence. Is it financially beneficial to convert H4 to F1? Who will do this transfer? Is there any stipend given to the foreign students by the universities for their research? Is higher score in GRE & TOEFL helpful in getting good stipend for research?
Hope for immediate reply

Hi,
University rules depends on state to state, you may or may not give to GRE to get in admission for higher education such as MS.
Every university has a foriegn student help center or advisor, set an appointmet wiht your nearest one and get all the info you need.
Hope this helps.
