Firstly, Thanks to Path2Usa for their information regarding vistior visa process. My in-laws got 10yrs visa on 31st Jan '07. We prepared the papers exactly as per mentioned on this site!
I would appreciate any help/advice regarding a few concerns for my parents' visitor visa interivew.
My parents have their interview scheduled on 14th Mar '07 at the Mumbai Consulate.
How recent should be the bank statements/pay stub copies etc..
Both me and my husband have GreenCards. My brother is also working here in US yet to file for his H1..he did his MS here and is currently on OPT which is valid for a year. We have mentioned it in the DS-156 form that both children are in the US. We have sent them only my husband's sponsor documents as we will be sponsoring their entire trip here. So will it be Ok to mention that both children are here ?? What are their chances of rejection or approval of the visa?? We are not thinking of hiding anything but will tell it only if asked by the visa officer. Is it advisable to do so??

Thanks.

ha ha .. so true. :D

I have been watching for dates for March every single day...checking twice, thrice...too many times! :-)

I wonder if you go to the Visa Application Center in person, if they give you a date there??? That would be my only thought on it. Let's hope we receive a reply. ;)

Their interview was scheduled way back in Aug-Sept 2006 when it used to take 5-6 months to get an appointment at the mumbai consulate!! Its very recently that they have made it to a week to 10 days to get an appointment..right??

So can anybody help me out with this?? Murali??

Any help/advice appreciated !!

Thanks..

You are exactly right. Thanks! I will have to tell my cousin so that he can start applying. :)

I am also waiting on March dates for New Delhi as my in-laws are going to apply there. Every time I try to see dates for New Delhi and click on the arrow to see March dates, it takes me to Chennai and Mumbai. :)

But cool. That's good that they are opening it up for March. It shouldn't be too long that they do it for Delhi and Chennai as well.

Thanks.

1. documents should not be more then 60 days old, so you may send the doucments to them now, if they have interview in march.
2. I dont think that having both child in USA is the only reason for rejection, if every thing else is in place they can get the visa.
In my opinion provide truthful information.
Interview is the key so prepare them well for interivew.
