Difference of L1 & L1 Blanket

Hi All,

Could any one tell me what is difference between L1 and L1 Blanket Visa.

Can dependents of L1 Blanket work in US.

L1 blanket can be given to only IT professionals (MCA, BE holders). Others can get L1 Individual.

Dependent of L1 Visa (means L2 visa holder) can work in US.

L1 - This petition is for an individual (regular L1). Processing time is involved.

L1B - This petition is for the company. A company can have xxxx number of L1Bs already granted by USCIS. You will be carring only the copy of the petition when you go for stamping. This is usually processed for engineers with specialized knowledge/skills.

Dependent on L2 can work after getting EAD.
