Cancelled passport

I am sponsoring for my In-laws. I have my new passport and the cancelled passport. Do I need to attach both of them?

If you have made US visits with the cancelled passports or another internation visits, do attached the cancelled passport,as the passport is the proof of internationl visits you have made. The same you would have metioned in the query of DS 156 and 157 forms
