Hi everybody,
My father got his retirement last month, but he did NOT opted for pension. So, I'm worried if the Visa Officer asks: "How much is your pension?".......then I am afraid that the Visa officer will consider this (not having pension) a negative impact on visa approval process. Same thing applys to my mother. Please help. Is there anything that we can do?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

My husband and I are in the same boat as you. My father-in-law has been retired for a few years but does not have a pension. What we are showing is that we are sponsoring his whole trip to the US. He will take property papers, his bank passbook, life insurance papers, etc.. to the visa interview which will show that he has assets in India, but it is not necessary that you have to show that you have a pension. The important part is that you show that you have ties back in India and that you are financially stable..

I hope that helps.

my concern is that: the visa officer might think that my parents would not return to India because they do NOT have any source of enough income here in India. But yes, they do have a good bank balance that they got after retiring. Please help: Murali.

Thanks

Pension is not the only way to show that you have income.

There are other ways.....
