Hi Murali/Simran,

I am going throught this forum for some time. There is lot of confusion about the following things. Lot of questions but different answers . Can you please make these things clear and make it sticky . So that before posting the question here , every one will read like D156 edit thread-sticky

1. D156, I 34 should be printed on both sides of single paper?
Ans: Yes
2. Is it required to send two set of sponsor documents for inviting father and mother?
Ans: It is not required one set of document is enough(1 for each family)
3. Is it required to send two I 34 for inviting father and mother?
Ans:No combined one I 34 is enough(1 for each family)
4. The personal affidavit(ties in india) executed by father/mother should be seperate or combined?
Ans: (Murali/simran please answer for this question)
5. Should this personal affidavit be in stamp paper? what is the value?
Ans: (Murali/simran please answer for this question)
6. Should the parents get Affidavit of personal properties from CA in a stamp paper?
Ans: (Murali/simran please answer for this question)
7. How old the sponsorship document?
Ans :minimum 30 -45 days are good enogh
8. If first time visa is rejected ? can we use the same HDFC receipt for the second attempt if it is within 1 year?
Ans : yes

Is the last question there really true? If you are rejected the visa, you can re-use the same HDFC Bank Receipt? From what I understood you had to re-pay the fees if you are going for your second attempt in the same year....

Please clarify.

I searched on google. Here is the clip from New Delhi US Embassy Web Site:
"The Visa Fee Receipt is void once the interview has taken place, and cannot be used to make a subsequent appointment."

That's what I thought. HDFC Bank Receipt can be used only once.
