TIN/ssn for dependents

F-2 dependenents will be elligible for TIN number or SSN?

Does the child on dependent visa will get TIn or SSS?

What are the use and benifits of getting These numbers for dependents?

Dependents can get TIN number and not the SSN.
However is the the child is US born , he/she can get SSN.
