corrections in I-797

Dear murali/simran

my consultants attorney has filed my I-129 with worng surname(typo mistake) and the same mistake got reflected in I-797, shall i go to consulate for H1 stamping? or shall i get correctd at USCIS before going for stamping.
How shall I get corrected?

its advisable to get the corrections done prior to stamping. otherwise either they won't issue u visa or even they issue it, u may have many other problems in US.
