Hi friends,
I am one of your kind. Married, on h4, and at home , no kids. I try to study during my free time (thats a lot!)
during day. But keep faltering ... its so hard to keep the focus and so easy to get bored. I really can't afford the huge fees for regular college courses but I would like to be technically at front as any other person .. just would love to keep my knowledge level going up!
Looking around me ... that gives me all the more reason to stay so because I always think u need to prove your worth for somebody to pay you something worthwhile. And since times are so bad, its just good to know something, than not!
The funny thing is I am good at producing great results when I am working with a team. But alone like this, the motivation is so hard for me to create and harder, to maintain!
But I know there are many of you out there who have made it out and who do their will ! Just sharing and looking for your views!

Friendly,
Nithya

Anyway, Thanks! I know Java and have experience in mainframes in India. But I do not have any work experience in Java. Think you can help me get work ..meaning a H1 ?

May be you can join community colleges. The fee is also nominal there and you will get some motivation. Also you can go for Java certification(if you don't have).
I too have joined the community college and doing some volunteering at community computer center. Hope this helps.
