L2 visa holder work permit

Hi

What a great site. My husband is just renewing his L1 visa. I have an L2, and am desperate to work.

Has there been any update on the newly passed law (HR 227 says L2 visa holders can are allowed to work in the US.)

Is it possible to apply yet?

If not does anyone have any idea how long it might take to become active?

Yes, you can apply for your EAD ( Employment Authorization Document) from INS by submitting the related details. It takes around 90 days for INS to give you EAD. Once you get your EAD, you can apply for you SSN and then start the job...for more details contact manishdrona@yahoo.com
