I am planning to get my mother to the US. She is a widow, and has retired as a school teacher around 5 years back. She has one other daughther besides me. Both of us are married. I am in the US and both me and my husband are working in the US on H-1B Visa in the same company for the last 3 years. We also did your Masters here prior to that. My Sister is married and staying with her husband in India. Both of them are also working.
I have learnt the showing ties back in India is very important for a US Vistor Visa.
The things I am planning to show apart fromt the docs listed in www.path2usa.com are the following
- House Documents in my mothers name
- Bank Accounts in my mothers name
- Fixed Deposits, Mutual Funds, Bonds etc in my mothers name.
- Tax Returns
Apart from these what else can we show, especially considering that she is a widow. We are also planning to return to India at the end of 2007. So we really want her to get the Visa on the first attempt in March, so that we dont run out of time.
