I want to go to US to give a exam which is conducted only in US and no where else in the world .

Am in a confusion from where should I apply for US B2 visa ?

where will I be having good chances to get visa to US ?

I have a hall ticket for the exam am going to take in US .
I have no relatives in us .
do I have to show any sponsors for my trip .
I have a job contract from US employer ,will this be of any use ,can I show this as a supporting document ??
I have sufficient funds for my Us trip but in UK bank ,how should I show sufficient funds ?

am a resident of ANDHRA PRADESH ,but I heard that getting a date soon is impossible at chennai ,
can I take a earlier date in newdelhi ?

please some one guide me .

You can apply in UK itself for a US visa.
For any examp purpose, you dont need any sponsor.
You must have a proof of exam and call letter for exam. thats all you need..
contact the local US consulate and take an appointment for visa interview.
good luck !

Thanks a lot for reply .

I have valid UK visa up to march 2007 ,
my travel agent said I should have atleast 6 months valid UK visa to apply for B2 US visa from UK .

I have been to UK embassy to try to extend my UK visa but they said it is too early to apply for visa extension .

I need to finish that exam before march to able to file for US H1 by april 2007

Is it possible to apply for B2 US visa even if I have just 3 months UK visa  ??

please advise me

You want to go to USA for exam.
you have not shown what exam.
If it is step 2CS, you better first know present trends and policies
to grant visa before you apply.
Thank you
