Hello Members,
My parents have an apointment at chennai consolate during the third week of FEB. What is the appropriate time to send the documents (i-134, bank stateme, pay stubs etc.). If I send it today, my bank statement will be as of Dec 27, would it be considered as old.

I guess I am asking how recent shoud my bank statements and pay stubs be.

Also can anyone tell me how long it takes for the USPS parcel to reach India? (5-10 days?)

Thanks for your replies...

Hello user,
I had emailed the same question to the VFS support team and they told me that the I-134 is valid for 6 months.

USPS regular mail time is about 10 business days. If you use priority mail it will reach in 5 days. Regarding the bank statements, even though I sent them a bank statement that was a month old, I got a certificate of balance (statement) from my bank 2 days before their interview and emailed it to my parents.

Apart from all the documents, the interview turned out to be the most important. Good luck.

For my father's interview in April(2006) I sent all the papers in November, last year(2005). It was all right as it takes about six months.
