Hi,

This is related to Employment Verification letter (EVL).
Am working for parent company in India nearly 3 yrs. Am having L1B visa and come to US for client projects and after completion go back to India office.
So totally I was in US around 18 months.
My recent entry was Jun'06 and still here in US. I want to sponsor my In-Laws now. My EVL will show only the latest entry as Date of Join. So it will be only 6 months..

My questions are
1. 6 months work experience will be sufficient for sponsoring?
2. In visa interview, if VO asks How long am in US? What should be the answer?

I have last year W2 and enough funds to show.

Thanks in Advance.

There is no hard timeframe for this issue.

If you are living in USA continuously for last 18 months (expect vacations or short period of absence) you can mention so.

Thanks for the response.

2. I wont say continously 18 months i was here. Since my stay was like Apr'05-May-05, Sep'05-May'06 and Jun'06-Till now. For these each entry my DOJ will be the start date of that duration .

I will sending all my I-94 with my documents. Please advise.

In that case it's safer to mention 6 months. However, in addition, it's perfectly fine to mention that you were in USA before that too - for other projects.

Does any one have a sample format for "Proof of Leave Grant"?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for your valuable support.
My In-Laws got 10yrs visa last week(Chennai- Tamil).
I prepared all the documents and clearly arranged in 4 folders. Well prepared my In-laws with possible questions and answers. The interview was very normal with just few questions.

1. Whom you are going to visit?
2. How many childrens?
3. What are you doing?
4. How many years of service?
5. Does your daughter having any childrens?

Even these questions look very normal, I feel, It clearly helps to identify the Tie-ups and purpose of visit.

So well prepare the interviewers to prove these two points.

I will continue post replies based on my experience and help others.

Thanks a lot. Good luck.
