Change of Visa Status

I have tried on B-2 visa on the 8th April and I got rejection. Now I want to try on B-1 visa i.e. Business visa. So Change of Status will work? OR It will have adverse effect on getting my Business visa?

This should not be big concern.
This can be justify as conditions may change for a pplicant and he/she may file for a different category, however make sure that you should furnish all necessary documents and statisfy them with all thier questions and Interview is the key so well prepare.
