i am on h4.can someone tell me if i get h1 approval then can i get it stamped without going to india.and if my h1 is approved then will i have both the visa's that is h1 and h4 too as valid on my passport .please let me know asap..

Visa stamp and status both are different, you can have H4 stamped but H1 approval is enogh to be on H1, later you can get a H1 stamp, in this case the H4, get cancelled.

But can one change from an H4 to an H1 in the US itself or do they hav to go to INdia for that?
