Can I send a copy of GC with incorrect A# ?

Hi,

I am a GC holder and would like to invite my mother-in-law to USA in a visitor visa. She is going to interview at Chennai consulate this month end. I have incorrect A# in my GC (because of INS administrative error). I am going to send it back to INS to get it corrected. Can I send a copy of my GC (with incorrect a #) to my mother-in-law so that she can take it for interview ?

But, in my passport, they stamped with correct A#.

Please advise.

I don't see any problem.
Must send a clean copy of passport and GC.
Tell this in brief to the applicant ONLY In case asked she whould be able to say the error part of it.
