Dear Sir / Madam

I am a Masters student at University B since Summer of 2006 and in urgent need of your advise.
Situation:

I completed my Bachelors at University A on May of 2005 and went on OPT.
In December, I got a job with a consulting company. I worked with them till May 19 2006 (OPT expired). They filed for my H1 for the April quota. As I was not sure of the outcome of this application, I decided to apply for a Masters and got admission in University B for Summer (May) 2006. But recently, my H1 got approved (October 18) and was informed that my F1 will be changed to H1. I was not aware that H1 approval means an automatic status change. Currently, my employer is not cancelling my H1, but do require me to start working for them by December 20th 2006. They have asked for my international student advisor's contact information to tell her to change my status on the SEVIS system to H1. Hence, I am in a dilemma. My international advisor informed me that if the company will send her the approval notices ,then she can do a visa change back to F1. This is my best hope so far.

Options:

i) Leave country with F1 documents and get it stamped. My company is not giving my H1 documents. They are saying that I need atleast 3 paystubs to release the documents so that I can go and get H1 stamped.

Can I go to Canada / Mexico to get my F1 stamped ?
Do I need the H1 documents ?
When should I leave ? My semester is ending on December 14th.

ii) If my advisor gets the H1 approval notice, can she change my H1 to F1 ?

iii) Any other options ?

Requirement:

I want to continue to be on F1 and do not want to go back to the company or go on H1 or have to leave US. What are my options ?

Please tell me what I should do as soon as possible. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Mani
