There are other ways too where you can make calls all over India by virtually sitting in parents' home if you have broadband connection in India.
1. Use Skype AU 600 gateway , Very good quality if you use with SkypeIn number.
2. Use Linksys Sipura SPA 3000 or SPA 3102 gateways with or without Asterisk.
Just google it , you will find plenty of info.

After using chota mota cards for 6 months, I used a 25$ reliance and it truly sucks.
I think its worth buying for 12.5 $ because only 50% of the conversation goes through :)

Well what best you can find then AirTel. 4c (buy one get one) and first recharge.
I put 200$ and got 400$ worth of minutes.
This offfer might be over soon, but I have enough for a year.
Besides their regular rate is 7.9 cents, in relience it's 13.9 cents, only if you recharge now for 5$ it's 7.9 and that too will end soon, so AirTel is taking up the huge market here.
As far calling quality is concerned no issues. Their website and customer service still sucks but they will improve on that shortly I am sure.
Hope this helps.

My roommate uses Pingo now. He says it's good. (I don't use any because I don't need to call :| )
