Hi ,

I am not sure if anyone had similar situation of mine . i am so confused about my Parents Visit Visa . I am aware that parents can’t come to US to help their daughter when she is pregnant. They can never understand that it’s only the parents and the Husband is required when their daughter is due for delivery.

1. We are planning for kids now and and it’s been a year that we are waiting to hear the news. I did not want to take chances at the last minute and so have booked appointment for my parents in Jan 2007 (we took appointment in June 2006, assuming I will conceive soon  ). Now I am worried and would like to know what will be the situation when my parents gets Visa in Jan 07 (assuming 6 months ) and they don’t want to travel ( as they want to come here during my delivery …….only GOD knows when will this happen  ) . If they don’t travel and the Visa expires in 6 months, will they have any problem if they go for stamping once again ?.

2. Also , both my parents are not working . My Father was doing business, but stopped it due to health problems now , its been 3 years. My brother who is also in the US takes care of them financially and he is the one who is sponsoring for their US visit . Since we both are here and my parents are in India and not working , will there be any problem if they say that they are not working and both their kids are in the US ?. We do have property in India . Frankly I don’t want my parents to say that even I am in US , as anyway I am not sponsoring their Visa .

Any suggestions would be a great relief for me .

Thanks in Advance !

since your brother is doign the sponsoring do advise him to chk out the forum for docs & other tips for the interview. yes, you parents shoudnt mention they are coming for ur pregnancy. they will need visitors' medical coverage before they land here and consular will ask to look for that application w/ other docs.

only thing they need to show proof that they will go back after the visit.

process thru a lawyer & relax :).

ps: no legal advise

1. I dont see any problem if they go for stamping again.
But In my opinion, you should send them for interview when you have some travel plan decided. Now a days appointment is faster so you should plan accordingly.

2. As long as all other criteir is in place there shouldnt be any problem.
