I am applying visitot VISA for my parents. I am sponsoring them. My brother is also in US currently studying. I heard that in DS 156 we need to specify that my brother is here. But when I looked into the form there is nowhere like that. But point 37 in the form asks about the status of the person in the US. Is that the place I need to specify my brothers presence here? But I assume that column is for the sponsor status. Is my assumption correct? Please advise me on this.

Thanks in advance

Yes, You need to mention in column 37 that your brother is here. i.e for "SON" check yes box and clearly mention that he is studying here in USA. Point # 37 clearly says that " Are Any of The Following Persons in The U.S., " this means not only the sponsor, this includes all the persons mentioned in this column.
Wishing you all the best
