case referred for Additional processing

Dear Friends/seniors/admin,

i have attended for H1 visa at chennai on 16th nov.
i was asked following questions.
1. who is ur employer at us?
2. how long are you working with xxx(present company)?
3. financial details of your employer(at US).
4. project details and asked for project related documents.

i have answered al the questions perfectly and gave her the
tax return forms, wage reports and all the docs that have been sent regarding project including market analysis and
forecast.

she was about to give me a 221 form for additional
documentation regarding the employees working for my petetioner.
immediatey i answered her that it has been enclosed and
helped her finding the same.
then she looked into and told that "we will have to look
into ur application once again for additional processing" and gave my passport back
and she kept all the docs and file with her and asked me to
check the status online in their site.
i asked her how long would it take?
she told me 2-3 weeks or sometimes months.

i am little confused and depressed with what happened.

please let me know why my case has been put on hold?
what will they be looking at?
what are the chances of getting stamped?
friends/senior members/admin, pls guide me and help me from coming out of this confusion.

Hello Ajay,

As far as I know... the chennai consulate doing some verification if its a small company ... since last week of oct'06.

No need to worry. As they said it will take min of 2 weeks time. Jus they will do the BG check about your job & petitioner.

They will make sure.... whether there is a job waiting for you.

You got one 100% chance of geting the visa if your employer and the docs are genuine.

Dt be panic... You will be geting the visa soon dude. stay cool

i really thank you for your reply to my post.
i'm little relieved and you have given a boost to my morale.
i have given all genuine docs and everything is perfect.
My petetioner is a good company with 200+ consultants and with a turn over of 8.5 million USD .
and i am working with an Indian MNC for last 3 years.
so what ever i have given them are genuine.

will be waiting for updates from VFS and my employer too.
