Should I carry a mobile phone from India!

Hi all!!!

I will be coming to New york city on H1 visa. I wanted to know if it is better to carry a triband mobile from India to US or it will be better to buy (cost wise) in US? I also came to know that many serivice plan itself offers mobile set also.
I will be glad to hear your experiences in this regard.

you gonna stay here for more than 2-3 years. You should not carry mobile phone from india. You will get lots of plans to choose from in usa and almosta ll companies gives you free standard mobile phone if you sign a contract for 1 year or 2 years.
