FedEx vs US Postal system

Does anyone know the approximate cost to sent the sponsor documents/papers to India from US through FedEx. Also what would be the comparable cost if sent through regular mail and how long will it take by regular mail?

depends on weight.
FEDEx days service for 0.55+ and less then 1lb, it cost around 60+ $.
USPS Global Priority may cost 25+

I recently sent some docs weighing slightly less than a pound thru USPS global priority mail to bombay and it costed 12$. It took exactly 9 days to reach them.

i send the sponsor docs through DHL it took 7 days to reach them since it was a remote area , but the tracking facility is very useful since you will be sending the docs close to the interview date and the most important factor is to track it so that you are sure they ll receive it .DHL seems to have a strong network especially in remote areas. It costed me 48 $ . USPS is fine if you are not bothered bt tracking ur post since USPS doesnt have proper tracking facility(it just shows picked up and delivered!!!)

Send ur docs thru FEDEX becos its very reliable. I accept its expensive but u can be assured of the delivery. Its worth the money ur spending.

I sent docs to chennai last month, with all the FAQ,TIPS weighing about 6 pounds it costed me $120 but it reached in 3 days perfectly in the specified time. So my in-laws had sufficient time to go thru and get ready for the interview.
