Please must read the fine prints of those plans which claims to cover which claims to covers pre-existing conditions.
Practically, covering pre-existing for a short term insurance is not a profitable business for any insurance company, otherwise all companies will start covering pre-existing company. Knowing the fact that it is a demanding product.

thanks a lot Murali ....i read through the entire clauses mentioned in http://kvrao.org/page2.html#rider
and they have mentioned that this scheme is valid ONLY if they are on continous coverage for a period of 6 months!!!......
PRE-EXISTING CONDITION WAIVER - Coverage for pre-existing conditions will be provided for medical treatment of an accidental bodily injury or sickness for an Insured who has maintained 6 months of continuous and uninterrupted coverage under this insurance program (12 months of continuous and uninterrupted coverage under this insurance program for Insured's age 70 and older)

Does that mean if I buy insurance from AIG for a period of 6 months, preexisting conditions will be covered ? Though my paretns are coming only for 2 months, I dont mind paying for 4 months extra for a assurance that they are covered for the period they are here.
