H-4 Visa: Kept all documents with them

Hi,
Today, my wife went for H4(B) Visa interview in Chennai and the officer took all the documents including Passport and Visa isuuance fee receipt as well, after asking some normal questions. Does it mean that they gave the Visa or not ? Previously they used to take the passport and Visa issuance fee only and return back all the other documents right? are the rules changed or anything like that recently.

All the documents that you are saying missing might be in the package along with your PP....

So pls wait till you get your stamped PP .....

Thank you for the reply. But my doubt is that will they send those documents along with the stamped Passport or they will keep them for the records.
why because it has original I-129, LCA and W-2's.

if not returned, contact the consulate. they shouldn't keep any docs except DS156/157
