Today, I was backing out of a spot (in school) and I side-swiped the car next to me. I do not know the owner, and I think the car was there before me, so didn't know I did it, I'm really not sure though. The front of my car has paint chips and the front end is sort of loose. Their car had paint chips, I believe. I was so nervous I just sped away. I'm so afraid I'm goign to get caught. And I have no idea what to even say to my dad...

You are such a disgrace, you should had left a note on that car's windshield, with your name and number. What you did is considered a crime in a lot of states, if somebody saw you and wrote down your plate # you will be in a lot of trouble

kizzl2,
You need to do these immediately:
Inform your auto-insurance asap- tell them you didnt know you had side-swiped the car (tlk to ur insurance agent first).
inform dmv asap , put the other partys' info as much as u know- but if ur unsure leave the other party info blank.
go back to the school- see if u can get a copy of security tape and see if u can find out whose car it is and contact them asap.
You dont want to have a hit-run record on ur dmv record, its' stays for atleast 7-10 yrs.
And, if u do get any notice/warrant respond to it immediately and accept- max. its' going toa be a slap on ur wrist & fine but make sure the record gets expunged from ur dmv record in 2 yrs- make sure u have it part of the settlement.
generally if u offer to fix the other partys' car with a signed agreemnt that they wouldnt go to the insurance and any other party and have it signed in presence of witness/notary u should be ok.
Do let us know how it goes.
One thing- if the other party doesnt has auto-insurance then its' automatically their fault, so no need to go to ur insurance- first see if u can find out as much as possible about the other party.
ps: no legal advise
(On a personal note lets refrain from calling each other names- this forums is comprised by us to help each other, Tx.)

Not sure about it - atleast not in California. In California, not having drivers license and not having insurances are independent issues and has nothing to do with who is at fault.
For example, if I am involved in an accident where I am in fault and the other party does not have insurance or license, still I need to pay him. Of course, the other party will be fined for not having insurance and license, but it is not a factor to determine who is at fault in the accident.
