my wife's relative intends to go to the Delhi consulate for the visitor-visa
interview. item 25 in the DS-156 form mandatorily needs the
details of the person she will be living in the US. she intends to write my
name in that column. she is going to self-sponsor. do i still need to send
her an invitation letter? the Delhi consulate website says the following:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>
B-1 Visa: Business

Together with the mandatory documents, the following documents may be useful to you when you apply for your visa:

*
Invitation letter from the U.S. counterpart/company with which you
plan to conduct business
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>
however, the above indicates the invitation letter for conducting business.
so the question is do i need to send her the invitation letter?

thanks in advance for your help.

Not mandatory.
If you are sponsoring no need of letter.
As far the address they can give your addres as their contact and stay address in USA ,and thats perfactly ok,

Some times they ask for the invitation letter though not mandatory.I think thereis no harm to send a invitation letter to the in-laws or parents.
